2 Door fully seam welded, gusseted, turreted, strengthened shell, Safety Devices roll cage with additional bars to rear turrets, seat belt bar & cross brace behind the drivers & navigators seats. Fibreglass bumpers, bonnet & boot lid & roof vent. Additional Cibie Super Oscar spot lights, Plastics 4 Performance brown tinted perspex windows. Prepfab 20 gallon aluminium fuel tank located on steel mounting plate in boot behind aluminium bulkhead. Boot floor cut-out & new steel panel added to take two spare wheels held via post & straps.

1600cc Crossflow 711 block, 10.2 to 1 Compression Ratio (for African Fuel!) Power Max. pistons @ + 0.040", standard crank ground 10/10 and Truffrided, steel con rods with ARP 2000 bolts, BCF3 camshaft (fast road rally), big valve small chamber rally cylinder head fully gas flowed with one piece valves, double valve springs, worked standard rockers with steel posts and strengthen shaft, modified Mexico big wing sump with HP oil pump and pick-up, steel one piece front crank pulley, Powerlite high amp alternator, Lucas competition electronic distributor with Magnecor Leads 12v Coil (sports), Weber 32/36 DTML single carburettor with Pipercross air filter, Tony Law Mild Steel 4-2-1 Exhaust manifold & 2¼” Single box exhaust system, Gartrac Safari spec large header radiator, large bore switched electric fan & silicon hoses. Twin red top Facet fuel pumps & Filter King fuel filter located in boot.

Rolling Road set up by Andy at BD Engineering (Newington, Kent) with 122bhp & 116lbs/ft at the flywheel.


Aluminium double sided starter bell housing with steel flywheel, cable operated AP competition clutch plate & competition clutch cover (BDA/Twin Cam type), Brise starter motor, Type 9 Trans-X Straight cut 5 speed ‘box, Rally Design prop shaft,  Gartrac built Baby Atlas with heavy duty fully floating halfshafts, ZF plate differential & 4.6 crownwheel & pinion with large capacity oil plate & aluminium axle brace.  

Suspension, Steering & Brakes:

Front - Gartrac safari spec uprights, roller bearing top mounts with Gartrac 4”springs & Gravel spec Bilstien shock absorbers, large bearing aluminium hubs with forest strengthened steering arms, Gartrac quick rack & twin cam anti-roll bar with modified Rally Design double width kit. Hi-Spec 4 pot Aluminium callipers with vented discs & EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads. Gartrac bias peddle box with Girling master cylinders & Wilwood knob brake force adjuster.

Rear – Five link set-up (panhard rod), Gartrac multi leaf slipper springs & Gravel spec Bilstien shock absorbers with 70lbs coilovers. Hi-Spec twin pot Aluminium callipers with solid discs, mechanical & hydraulic handbrake.


Corbeau Pro Fibreglass seats with additional padding & lumbar support, 6 point Luke harnesses, Astari steering wheel, FIA master electrical cut-off switch within aluminium switch panel containing, starter, fan & spot light relays, fuse panel, cigarette lighter, fuel gauge, oil pressure warning light, starter button & equipment switches.
